We actually already had this oatmeal on hand when I was approached to partner with Gerber. I took these photos, just to capture the moment, not expecting to use them for this blog post.
Something about getting ready to embark on a big adventure has me craving these raw and ordinary moments in this home where we started a family.
The smallest routines now seem so special as our days living in this home are numbered.
To be honest, I’m not a routine person. In fact, I’m the complete opposite, I prefer spontaneity and flexibility and get easily bored with the mundane.
Having kids has taught me to stretch myself and my own preferences. Children need structure and thrive on a daily routine. I’m happy to go above and beyond to serve and love my girls well, because it’s what they need. I’ve found if we have our simple rhythm of breakfast, then they’re more likely to go with the flow of the rest of the day.
Ruby was ridiculously excited to have Margot join in on our oatmeal-eating-mornings. I hadn’t realized how much this rhythm of eating breakfast together meant to her. And I myself have started to crave this routine I created for my toddler.
Our slow mornings of chatting as I put the water on for breakfast and my coffee. She pulls up her stool and joins me as we talk about our day.
I was also excited to partner with a company who gives back. And it’s really simple to be a part of it all.
To partner with Gerber to give back, share a picture of your baby’s Gerber feeding moment and they will donate $1 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s so easy! You can find more information and the link to submit your photo by clicking HERE.
Ruby immediately took charge with helping me feed Margot.
And I embraced the mess that came with it.
I used to think, before I had kids, that I wouldn’t be changed by motherhood. I mean, I knew it would change me in some way. But, I didn’t think it would completely mold me for the better.
Gerber is committed to do #anythingforbaby and we want to make sure that all babies get the support they need so we are giving back to Children’s Miracle network with your help! Find out how to help HERE.
