To celebrate the first day of September (I cannot believe that this month is already over!) we visited the apple orchard with friends. It was a beautiful day and felt so much like fall, the temperature was a perfect 70 degrees and the clouds covered the sky enough for some very beautiful photos. I’m so glad I remembered to grab my camera before heading out of the house.
The first day of September is one I will remember from 2017, Preschool orientation, apple picking, and dining outdoors with friends in the evening.
The best apples are the ones eaten straight from the apple tree.
The tractor ride might be the best part. We visit this orchard often now and on our last visit the farmer took us on a taste tour of the orchard. He’d stop, pick an apple, tell us about it, cut it with his pocket knife, and give us all a try.
“Mama, look! apple trees!” I’m grateful that she’s starting to learn more about the outdoors and where her food comes from. We try our best to teach her, take her to farms and farmer’s markets.
“Here you go mama, take a bite”
Loving this two-year-old and I know she loves her mama. “I love you muuuchhhh!!” she will say while grabbing my face and giving me kisses.
She’s loving her ‘flower clip’, a black eyed susan handcrafted by katie from fancy free finery.
too busy eating apples to stop and smile for a photo.
this dear friend of mine and mama to all the beautiful children.
These two!! They did this on their own and melted our hearts.
SO SO glad that it will be cooling off again tomorrow for us to get back here.
