We stopped through Sedona on our way back to Phoenix from Page, Arizona. We were hoping to have more time in Sedona, but had so much fun driving to Utah hiking to the toadstools. We also spent quite a bit of time discussing where we should go to lunch. (jordan won)
On our drive to Sedona we knew we would only have enough daylight for one thing. We researched on the drive and decided our one thing would be to hike cathedral rock. I think we picked very well.
It’s so funny how Ruby is just staring at the camera in these photos. haha
It ended up being so perfect at the top as we were there right as the sun was setting. We had a little bit of time to rest and to take in the views. There’s just something about the red rock and the warm sun, it was crazy beautiful.
This looks so scary! But, the ledge continues on the other side even though it looks like they could plummet any second, yikes!!
Ruby couldn’t quite make it through the entire hike. This girl used to fall asleep in her ergo in a second, but I guess we haven’t used it as much in the winter.
It’s really funny that each time we’ve visited Sedona it’s been just for a couple hours passing through. We really would like to take the time to properly explore it someday. It’s just so busy. I guess it the crowds that draw us away for the most part. But, this time it didn’t seem as busy.
Have you been to Sedona? What would be your one thing to see if you only had a few hours?
P.S. Have we connected on instagram yet?
