This past Tuesday we headed to Eckert’s Farm, one of our favorite places over here near St. Louis. We were giddy with excitement to chop down and bring home our very first real Christmas Tree.
We’ve been using the same artificial tree every year that’s been past down for years. It’s the kind with individual branches and the color coding has worn off, so it takes hours to put up. Jordan was joking that in the time we drove to Eckert’s, chopped down our tree and set it up at home, it was just as quick. I definitely agreed. I’m a big fan of this whole real tree business.
I love how she goes from being so serious to a total goof. She’s such a crazy mix of her father and I, it’s hilarious. I think I’ve narrowed in on her Myers Briggs type and I think she’s right in the middle of us! haha. Anyone else obsessed with the MBTI?
blowing kisses to papa! and kisses for mama! we’re working on how to kiss with out the open mouth, it’s been slow progress.
a little tip, cut off another slice from the stump for an ornament! We plan on drilling a hole for some string and writing the date and “our first real christmas tree”
Definitely not safe, but Jordan always insists on something like this, haha. And she loved it! And we’re ready to take our tree home!
Ruby snuggled up right underneath him. I think we will enjoy having this guy around this holiday season. We loved partnering with Eckert’s, and I know we will be heading back next year to cut down a real Christmas Tree again!
What about you, are you on team real tree or artificial?
