Sandy Bay Beach Club, Nusa Lembongan
On one of our days on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan, we visited Sandy Beach Club. It was perfect for a full morning for our family. If you eat at their restaurant you can use the pool and the beach, which are set in a beautiful location. They even offer free transportation from your hotel or airbnb and back! When we arrived in the morning, we had the entire place to ourselves. Later in the morning, more people started trickling in, but it never got too crowded.
We all love the beach, but it can be challenging with a mobile small toddler. And Ruby hasn’t been the biggest fan since that one jellyfish accident. We opted to take the trip over here rather than go to the beach closest to us, purely for the pool. It was a dream for me to just sit and listen to the waves while Ruby happily swam the entire time in the pool. Margot managed to take a little nap, and Jordan went on a little hike, so we were all happy.
The restaurant itself was very good and surprisingly more affordable than other places we tried on the island. I loved the fresh tropical fruit and smoothie bowls. And Margot devoured her breakfast making sure to lick all the avocado off of her plate, ha!
And you know the aesthetic of this place was right on point for me. All the white, fresh flowers, and simple decor. I love that about Bali, everything is beautiful. Margot loved that she could play in the sand while waiting for the food to arrive.
We also ordered lunch before we left and I loved that they had a vegetarian menu.
The infinity pool was beautiful and overlooked the ocean and its massive waves. Ruby was seriously in paradise, she loved it. Like I mentioned earlier, she loves the ocean! Sadly though, she’s had some mishaps. A jellyfish incident in Jeju and something stung her several times in Thailand. Since then, she’s a little hesitant. This was perfect for all of us to be near the ocean, but in the nice clean and safe pool!
On our last day she warmed up to the ocean here and was able to get in and enjoy it for little.
Of course we had to get out and enjoy a little bit of the ocean. I wasn’t feeling well this day, so I was more than happy resting at the pool. If I didn’t have that pesky ovarian cyst, I totally would have been playing and building sand castles.
The beach was a little rocky and the wavs were HUGE. So, I would not have let the girls swim here, but they’re usually happiest playing in the sand.
You can see in that last photo of the beach where Jordan took his hike. He was able to hike all the way over to that rocky point.
This was one of our favorite things that we did on our time here on this island. It was a beautiful and convenient spot to spend a good chunk of the day. Definitely, an easy choice if you ever find yourself in Nusa Lembongan.
