While my parents were in town for Christmas we went into St. Louis for an evening. We had dinner at Salt and Smoke, got ice cream at Jeni’s, and then went through some Christmas lights. It was fun to get out and explore for an evening. Jeni’s is by far my favorite ice cream place, we went there for my birthday this year and many other times.
Ruby is definitely a big ice cream fan. This reminds me of when she had her first ice cream cone this summer.
If you’re in St. Louis, I would definitely recommend Salt & Smoke, it was very good! We’ve been hesitant to try it out because of yours truly. Being a vegetarian is tough in this BBQ loving city, but they had a pretty good vegetarian option! Also of note: We had dinner before ice cream, but this is just how the photos were organized.
And this kids menu turned hat is too much.
On our way home we drove through the light display. We let Ruby get out of her car seat for a short bit since she was over it and we were crawling at about 2 mph. I promise we made sure to buckle her in before we got going again, but she loved every minute of her freedom and looking at the lights.
and that messy pony.
We’re currently spending some time with my brother for Christmas, so I probably have maybe one more Christmas post! This year our Christmas has spanned such a long time and I am loving it.
