Still on our first day of Paris it was evening and close to dinnertime at this point. Spending the day walking, visiting museums, left us a little tired and hungry. I worked quite a bit to plan the majority of this day to a T. Not being sure how Ruby would do or how we’d feel after a long day, I left a few options of things we could do in the evening. This was a good opportunity to stop, grab some food, and think through what we wanted to do next. There were times we loved exploring the city of Paris without internet, but it also left to some unresearched food stops.
There’s something magical about exploring a city and truly feeling like you’re navigating it on your own. We stumbled upon a myriad of beautiful streets. But, Paris is a very large city and there are many, many restaurants and we kept missing the good ones, at least in the beginning.
We stumbled across this adorable cafe and it was just what we were looking for a place to sit down and recoup. Plus, they had wifi! When we got there and looked at the menu, we felt a little underwhelmed. One, I couldn’t eat anything as a vegetarian, and Jordan just wasn’t feeling the classic French dishes. We searched the menu for crepes, but couldn’t find any.
Here’s what we ended up ordering. I took a photo, because of how funny and sad it was.
The plus side was that Ruby was taking a nice long nap during this, so we were truly able to rest and talk over the day.
She’s up! Time to explore!
