It’s incredible how much of Paris we observed on our first full day in Paris. After an entire day of museum hopping, we ended up in the Latin Quater that evening. Since we had such a disappointing lunch, we set out for the nearest place I could remember from my research.
That afternoon we stumbled on the most adorable cafe (I have the photos edited and will share soon with more of the story) with a beautiful view of the eiffel tower. Everything was perfect, the weather, Ruby was sleeping, but the food was very much lacking. While we still fully enjoyed the experience, being foodies and all we needed a little more.
No access to the internet, directions, or yelp makes exploring a city a much larger task. Our afternoon letdown was redeemed with a fun evening of exploration and yummy frites.
On our voyage for frites, we stumbled on this beauty, the Pantheon which we didn’t think we’d end up getting around to seeing. It was a fun moment of connecting what you see from reading about a place to actually seeing it in person. “Hey, Jordan, that building looks very familiar, I know Rick Steves talked about it somewhere, let’s go check it out.”
I’m thankful some kind stranger offered to take this photo of us. I initially denied their offer because we had taken so many photos this day and now I am reminded that I was there too. Along with that guy in the green coat.
Always keeping an eye out for that Eiffel Tower. For reference, we stayed just a couple blocks away from the Eiffel Tower. After we finished up our Frites and took a stroll along The Boulevard St. Germain we trekked allll the way home, because we were too cheap to take the metro.
Love this fun girl.
De Clercq frites were worth it.
Never enough vines and Paris streets.
Oh, Paris, it’s so fun to remember you.
