I have the most amazing friends that love me so ridiculously well. I’m still feeling so, so grateful for the shower they put on for me this past weekend. This Paris themed shower was perfect in every way. I was not expecting a shower at all, and this was just way more than I ever could have imagined. My friends know me so well and everything, from the food to the decor was just in my taste.
My friend Ana, who hosted and was the mastermind behind all of this even encouraged me to take a million photos, because, again, she knows me. And I’m so glad that I can share them with you.
Look at that spread! I joked that I picked all of these friends purely based on their culinary abilities. Everyone contributed a delicious item. Homemade Macarons, Croque-monsieur, Meringues, and more. It fit perfectly along with how I’ve been tracking the size of this little one, with French pastries.
Ana even cleared out her little Nico’s play area to set up this impressive photo booth.
Melissa made these meringues, which were so yummy! And Jessica whipped up these classic French sandwhiches.
My friend, Ginger always amazes me with her creation. A carved pumpkin and homemade macarons? She’s my hero.
My friend, Skyla did all of the caligraphies and made the invites which I hope I can share as well. I’ll figure out how and add it to this post, so check back later because it’s adorable.
Thank you, Sam and Ana for making this mama feel so special and for loving on this little one. You all already take care of us so well. So, so, so thankful for these friends.
Ginger, please make me macarons again? These were SO GOOD.
These photos were just hilarious. And this was the best ones of the brunch time. Which is probably never a good time for photos. haha. I look the most ridiculous, but I do easily get that excited in conversations, so that’s normal.
My mother-in-law, Donna was able to come which I was so glad because it meant that Ruby was able to come along as well. Thanks for keeping an eye on her during the party! Amy’s hubby made me a delicious chocolate dessert, they were a part of our community group and he remembered how much I love chocolate! Thanks, Kent!
Here’s the whole group, I love you all dearly!
This girl loooves the Eifel Tower. We have this very one on her nightstand and got her several Paris books after our trip. She loves finding the tower in the books and says, “Eiffel Tower!” in the sweetest voice.
There were a couple other kiddos there too for Ruby to play with!
Ana, my dear, dear friend. This girl shares my love for style, travel, and all things beautiful. Look at her, she’s gorgeous and always so stylish. We both traveled to Europe and did a similar trip last year to Paris and Barcelona, and her name is Champagne so this was a perfect theme. We get together every now and then and hang out and talk until ridiculously late. I love hearing her stories of her childhood, she grew up in Bolivia and had an emu for a pet, so basically she’s cooler than anyone I know. She really is the one who put all of this together all while in school and caring for her family and a toddler. She’s saved me on several occasions, she was the one who rescued us during the ultrasound incident. Thanks for being consistenly awesome, Ana, I love you, friend!
Lindsay, another dear friend helped to make this all happen. Thanks for putting together actually fun games, even though I did secretly want to see you eat a melted candy bar from a diaper. And yes, I thought jello shots would totally have been appropriate for this baby shower, especially if they included champagne. She’s the mama to Jackson, Ruby’s best friend. She also shares my humor, which I’m so thankful she understands my sarcasm and not jokes. Her husband even made a wooden board for the charcuteries, thanks Bryce!
Rachel won the measure mama’s belly with string game and looking at this photo it makes me feel better that she used her little toddler as a model. hah
Ruby got in on the present opening, and you guys, seriously so overwhelmed by the generosity of these sweet friends. So many sweet baby things for this little girl.
Jess, your wrapping is phenomenal.
admiring the sweetest, itty bitty baby bonnet. It was SO TINY like how am I going to have that small of a baby? I’m so used to my crazy toddler these days. I can’t wait to bring this one to the hospital, thank you, Jess and Melissa!
My la fillette, little girl, dressed in all the French items I could find!
Always willing to dance
Ruby and Nico, Ana’s little one.
Ana and her darling little boy, Nico.
Ruby and her grandma who’s been loving on her all week, so glad that she was in town for this.
My sweet friend Melissa and her little baby bump!
Ruby and Nico coloring, she did not want to leave, she was having so much fun! Did you notice the purple marker on her face in all of these photos? haha.
Seriously so grateful for this sweet morning and afternoon with these dear friends. You all know how to make a mama feel loved. I still can’t believe that we’ve only lived here for a few years, all of these women feel like lifetime friends.
