Jordan has been anticipating orders for our next military base assignment for the last month or so. Orders are an official document detailing your next assignment base. He had a feeling they’d be waiting for him when we got back from our most recent travels to Singapore and Bali. Sure enough, he was right. Immediately after we set down our stuff down, he was checking his work email and printing off documents.
We knew where we were going, we have been just kind of holding our breath knowing that the military is fluid and always changing. I want to tell you, but I also have plans to take an announcement photo as soon as Jordan has a day off tomorrow. So, you will know this week, maybe tomorrow!!
All this is giving me so much life. I truly have loved this year and all the adventures and learning. But, honestly? I feel so much lighter knowing we’re leaving Korea soon.
I’m incredibly grateful for my time here in Asia. I know I’m repeating myself, but it’s because I don’t want my words to be misconstrued. We knew this was just going to be a one-year thing and so we made the most of it with traveling and seeing new places. We actually chose to come here. Because of the base’s hardships (location, hours of work, limited family resources) we are able to have priority on our next location. Knowing that most likely Jordan will not remain in the Air Force we wanted to take advantage of being able to experience unique places. So, we’re pretty stoked for our next location.
