I pulled out all of Ruby’s gift out of the hall closet to wrap this week. I’ve been collecting gifts for her this fall, so it was fun to see it all together. I forgot about a few things, so I am glad that I resisted getting her anything else. Homegoods had an amazing selection of cute toys that are just my style, that’s where I picked up the blocks, puzzle, dot art, and some books for a great price. Since I did a lot of shopping online, I’m glad I went into an actual store. It was fun to look and see everything and to imagine Ruby playing with everything. I actually took Ruby in one day and she wanted everything, it was so sweet.
Ruby was very much a baby last year so I had fun shopping for our little girl who now has her own personality. She’s super busy and doesn’t even care for a lot of toys. I think she will forever be happy with her play kitchen we got her last Christmas and her baby dolls.
I think she will enjoy building and learning with her new toys. She loves stacking these days, so I know she will love these beautiful blocks. And we’re working hard on the one puzzle she has so I think it’s time to add another one to a mix. And as a former art teacher, I thought it might be time I teach her about shapes and colors. 🙂
What we’re giving ruby this year for Christmas:
1. felt flower headbands 2. Little Blue Truck 3. A Wooden Story Blocks 4. All Aboard Paris (we also have a national parks version) 5. Beautycounter Baby Oil 6. Caps for Sale 7. Painting Pepette 8. all clothes from Zara 9. Music instruments from Target dollar aisle 10. Dot Art 11. Come with me to Paris 12. Freshly Picked Moccassins 13. shape puzzle
Along with a few toys, I picked up Ruby a few outfits from Zara during their sale. It’s my favorite place to shop for Ruby and their prices are really affordable.
My all time favorite gift of choice for anyone is a book. I love that we already have a growing library for Ruby. Each book feels special with a little hand written note. I’m excited to write in the Paris ones about all of our adventures there this year. We’re also hoping it will help her to hold on to those memories.
I think I wrapped too many presents at once because by the end I was definitely hating it. We may need to go with that 4 gift idea for Ruby next year, so maybe I can take more time to just wrap a few and make them beautiful. Although, with this washi tape even a plain white paper package looks beautiful. I picked up another set of this washi tape this year and it’s my favorite. And a great price as far as washi tape goes! I’ve used the tape I got last year all year and it’s still going strong. It got too dark before I could take photos of the finished gifts, but I’ll make sure to take some photos on Christmas. I used white yarn this year with some bells on some and homemade gift tags. I may have to attach this felt flower to one though, it’s so cute!
My mom gifted Ruby the felt headbands for Ruby over thanksgiving so she’s been wearing them nonstop since then. We have quite a few from this etsy shop, and the felt is beautiful and really high quality.
What did you get your loved ones for Christmas? Isn’t it weird that it’s only a couple days away??
