While our list isn’t as impressive as last year’s, we still fit in quite a few trips. Mostly in the beginning of the year. We took advantage of the free airfare while Ruby was still under two. Our last flight to San Diego we snuck in just days before her birthday. We took it easy the second part of the year and hunkered down to prepare for Margot.
Let’s look back at last year’s where we want to travel post:
where we wanted to travel in 2017:
FloridaPortland, OregonSan Diego, CaliforniaSouth Carolina- The Ozarks
- Alaska
We were 4/6 this year. Instead of going to the Ozarks, we opted instead to go camping close by. We found that camping is an adventure in itself, so there’s no need to travel so far. We really loved our last camping trip to the Ozarks, so maybe if we’re feeling up for it, I’d still like to explore more of that area before we move.
Sadly, Alaska didn’t work out, but I’m ok with it. We fit in so many trips in a short time, I was ready to stay home for a bit.
And for the places, we did travel…
where we actually traveled in 2017:
Carlyle Lake – camping
Florida (Just Ruby and I) – Sanibel Island
Oregon – Portland, Bend, Cannon Beach (pictured above)
San Diego, California
Cincinnati, Ohio
South Carolina – Greenville, Dupont State Park, Asheville, NC
Chatanooga, TN
Fort Wayne, Indiana
I really slacked on the blogging this year, especially for our travels. I have so many wonderful photos I hope to share with you soon. I’m making some new rhythms for this space, that I’ll share Monday, which will include at least two travel posts a month.
