My goal this year for this blog is generally to encourage myself to follow through with the fun posts that I often start, but don’t make it to the published stage. I did a fall favorites forever ago, and I have one for every season, started, but not finished.
So, here I am a year and some odd months later to share with the world. Here are some winter favorites of mine.
winter favorites
face & body oils
Of course, I actually have a post started on why I prefer oils over lotion, but I think this will do for now. Over the past two years, I’ve almost completely transferred over to using oils as a moisturizer. This one is my favorite facial oil, it has a lovely smell and is very affordable. I don’t want to give you a solid favorite body oil yet, but I like using Rosehip Oil especially for stretch marks. It doesn’t smell all that good, but it works great! I also like using fractioned coconut oil as well.
milk frother
We’re latte fans over here, and we steamed our milk a multitude of ways. And then, realizing it was something we’d use daily, we got a milk frother. I’m not one to have one use appliances, but this is worth it. Making a matcha latte has never been so easy.
Ugg slippers
Jordan treated me to new slippers this winter before having Margot. They made cozying up at home this winter so much better.
podcasts
I shared my favorite podcasts this fall and have discovered many more. I enjoy listening to them at home while cleaning, nursing, or playing with Ruby. I’m pretty sure they help me be a better mama, because I can multitask so easily and learn something new! Jordan’s long work days don’t seem as long.
covered goods nursing cover
Covered goods sent me a couple nursing covers and they have been a life saver. I use them several times a day, not just as a nursing cover, but a car seat cover, a blanket, a scarf, and unfortunately sometimes a burp cloth. I like that they fully cover me and baby while nursing keeping it warm and cozy when it’s cold.
Those are just a few of my favorites this season, and pretty soon I will get to share some Spring favorites. Hoping it comes soon, I’m over coats.
